Sunday lunch is the highlight of the week for many of our customers and we pride ourselves on offering a truly scrumptious and traditional experience. Home cooked rare roast beef, roast loin of pork and roast chicken all served with Yorkshire puddings, fresh vegetables, roast potatoes, dauphinois potatoes and the finest gravy. There is always a vegetarian option as well as children's portions. Our Sunday roasts have earned us some rave reviews in the Guardian as well as the local press.
We usually cater for around 50 covers so booking is advisable although not essential. Brilliant service and great food and drink is our aim. If you want a proper roast, a few beers a good bottle of wine with friendly service, we are the place to be. At very reasonable prices too!
Food is served all day between 11am and 9pm, all of which are traditional home cooked dishes.
We also serve burgers and chips to eat in or take away. Orders are taken at the bar. You can also sample one of our delicious beers whether you take out or not. Just ask for a take-out carton of your choice.
There will be lots of other foodie offerings throughout the year, just see local press or the events board in the pub.
